Quick service, waiter very knowledgeable. Food is fantastic. Reminds me of home. I orders spring roll with shrimp and pho. Both were good especially on a cold day.
I've only had Pho twice but this place is absolutely delicious, the owner Bruce is a very nice guy, took the time to ask me how everything was. I recommend the Pho with meatballs. A little pricey but generous portions and delicious food makes up for it
Food is delicious and authentic. It's on the pricey side, but for the freshness you get, it's worth it. It's not a beautiful place to eat at, but it's clean and efficient. I would definitely recommend the food at Pho Nhu Y.
Warning: hot means HOT, not American hot. And that's a good thing. Portions are huge - be prepared not to finish your dish if you indulge in an appetizer. Which you should; Chia Go is excellent. Everything else we had left us humming with delight, too. The waitress - a daughter of the chief - was attentive and helpful. Will we return? Thrilled to report that the Vietnamese restaurant from the Staples plaza moved to Main Street in Binghamton in Dec 2020 (yes it took me 18 months to figure that out). Bruce and Julia have relocated to a spot on the blue bus route and are going great guns with support from the community! Woo woo! New menu design but same favorites - my go-to is always the Spicy Lemongrass Chicken vermicelli bowl (extra peanuts please). Mild heat is plenty for me out you can get that adjusted to your taste. They now accept credit cards but there is an up charge. Ca phe sua da (iced Vietnamese coffee) is authentic but brewed in advance so you don't have to wait for the drip. Authentic ingredients. Highly recommend.
This is a pretty legitimate Vietnamese restaurant in a limited Asian food area. The prices are decent for the amount of food you get for entrees. Appetizers are a bit expensive but taste very good. The servers are very nice. It has a very "mom and pop" shop feel and the owners try their best to get you quality food. They are closed on Sunday's and Mondays to restock their supplies. I would definitely come here again to try their other foods.
